Unique exhibition about hidden Arctic history

UiT's researchers are helping to decolonize Arctic history through a new exhibition about Indigenous peoples and animals. It will give a completely different picture to what polar explorers and others have documented in the past.

During this year’s Riddu Riđđu Festival visitors have the opportunity to experience the art exhibition Visualizing Arctic Voices. The exhibition gives voices to forgotten and repressed histories from the Arctic.

This year’s exhibition at the Riddu Riđđu Festival examines past injustices towards Indigenous peoples and turns these histories into something positive.
